Mountain Rest Lake

Mountain Rest Lake is a 50-acre private lake in Mountain Rest on the left side of Highway 28 as you head west.

The lake sits at the base of the mountain and is the last private property on your way to the Wild & Scenic Chattooga River.

Mountain Rest Lake was built by the Brown Family in the 1960s. The roads around the lake are named for birds and one corner of the community touches Sumter National Forest.

The current dues are $180 per year; the HOA is working on its rules and guidelines as the organization was started in 2016.
